Environmental Statement

IBM is committed to environmental stewardship in all its business activities and procurement sourcing. IBM’s requirement is to purchase wood-based materials sourced from forests managed in an ecologically sound and sustainable manner. Each of the
papers in the IBM range have been manufactured using ECF (Elemental Chlorine Free) pulp, thereby reducing harmful emissions into the environment. Further testimony to the environmentally sound nature of IBM Papers is the fact that IBM Print Pro has been accredited with the FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) certification which guarantees sustainable forest management. Furthermore we are able to source IBM Document Pro and IBM Color Pro containing certified FSC pulp if specified at point of purchase.

FSC (Forest Stewardship Council)

FSCThe FSC is one of the most important international certification systems for forest management. The Council‘s seal is awarded to wood products from all over the world that result from forest management practices that are guaranteed to be exemplary and so support the long-term preservation of forests and their biological diversity. The award is granted on the basis of international principles, taking into account ecological and economic requirements as well as social factors.

The FSC accreditation guarantees that wood used for the production of the paper comes from well-managed and sustainable forests, and through the FSC Chain of Custody you are able to fully track, trace and identify a product, at all times until it reaches your doorstep.

IBM Print Pro, Document Pro* and Color Pro* has been granted FSC certification.

* Document Pro and Color Pro - please specify at point of purchase if FSC certification is required.
