Storage and Use
The following are guidelines to ensure you get the best results from your office paper and in the process minimise paper jams and stoppages:
- Handle reams carefully, damage to the edges of paper can cause jams
- Do not stack paper more than 5 cartons high
– careful stacking will avoid damage to the edge of the paper - Paper should be stored within the environment it is going to be used for at least 24 hours prior to use
- Do not store paper directly next to radiators, air conditioning vents, external doorways etc, where the moisture content of the paper maybe affected
- Do not open reams of paper until ready for use
– the ream wrapper protects the paper from changes in humidity and temperature which may affect performance - Where stated, load paper according to the ‘print first side’ instructions
- ‘Knock’ ream on hard surface to ensure all edges are square
- Ensure different papers are not mixed in the machine feeding tray
- Remove excessive dust from top sheets before loading into machine
